About the Role

KPMG in Canada is seeking undergraduate Business or Accounting students, pursuing their CPA designation, to join the Audit Practice as a Winter 2027 Co-op Student. This program aims to develop future leaders through challenging client projects, offering authentic engagement experience and broad skill development through KPMG's learning and development opportunities. The national Power Up programming provides opportunities to learn from leaders, network with peers, and collaborate with professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with leading companies to understand their processes.
  • Help clients meet evolving financial reporting standards and regulations.
  • Engage with public, private, and not-for-profit clients.
  • Gain authentic engagement experience working with client projects across teams.
  • Broaden skill set through KPMG’s vast learning and development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Strong academic record.
  • Committed to achieving Canadian CPA designation and obtaining CPA required pre-requisite courses.
  • Builds collaborative relationships, establishing strong internal and external relationships and productive networks.
  • Develops and motivates others by engaging them, instilling confidence, and coaching them to find meaning in their work and achieve exceptional results.
  • Takes opportunities to learn and adapt by using insights and self-reflection to build capability and embrace new challenges.

  • Must have or will obtain legal authorization to work in Canada by the start date of employment.

Skills

  • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools or analytics platforms is considered an asset.
  • Comfort in leveraging AI to enhance efficiency, generate insights, or support problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated interest in how AI technologies can be applied in professional settings.
