About the Role

NLS is seeking Water Polo coaches in Sydney to join their team, with roles available in Sydney CBD, Eastern Suburbs, and the Inner West. A Working with Children check is mandatory, and while coaching experience is preferred, a strong knowledge and playing experience of the sport is required.

Responsibilities

  • Attend and conduct all training sessions
  • Attend and facilitate all competition games (As Required)
  • Be reliable and organized

Requirements

  • Must have (or be willing to apply for) a current Working with Children check
  • Good knowledge and playing experience of the sport is required
  • Sports coaching / playing experience
  • PAID Working with Children (WWC) Check
  • Child Protection Training (Preferred)
  • First Aid + CPR Training (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of standard coaching practices
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle confidential matters with tact and diplomacy, and to maintain confidentiality of information as needed or to protect the rights of individual students

Skills

  • Independently handle multiple sporting priorities
  • Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships & communicate clearly & effectively with students, staff, administrators, and at times parents / guardians
  • Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse community

  • Before or after school coaching
  • Saturday morning games

Experience Level
