About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Digital Producer to join our dynamic digital product team and work with some of the most well-known media brands across Australia. Our focus is on creating world-class digital experiences for our audiences. The role supports the execution and delivery of the product roadmap across our State & Communities brands, including The Daily Telegraph, The Herald Sun, The Courier Mail, The Adelaide Advertiser and CODE Sports, alongside our regional publications.

Responsibilities

  • Build, publish and maintain pages, modules, templates and other digital assets in our internal authoring systems for web and app.
  • Support the day-to-day production needs of the State & Communities product team, ensuring experiences are delivered accurately, efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Keep brand assets, page configurations and presentation layers up to date and consistent across our brands.
  • Provide technical and workflow support to editorial stakeholders during the daily news cycle and during major editorial moments, launches and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across editorial, marketing, commercial, engineering, UX and product to gather clear production requirements and help shape practical digital solutions.
  • Support the prioritisation, trafficking and delivery of work through team workflows, including smaller continuous improvement initiatives, hygiene fixes and production tasks.
  • Assist in the execution of the State & Communities product roadmap, in particular with executing QA and launches.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues across pages, modules and site experiences, escalating when needed and helping drive timely resolution.
  • Use data and insights to help identify opportunities to improve engagement, usability, workflow efficiency and overall product experience.
  • Regularly report on production outcomes, issues, team success metrics and areas for improvement.
  • Contribute ideas that improve core product experiences, content workflows and the efficiency of delivery across the team.
  • Use tools including CMS platforms, Google Workspace, Jira and analytics/reporting tools; apply basic HTML/CSS where needed.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in a digital producer or similarly hands-on digital role.
  • Strong experience working with websites, CMS platforms and digital publishing workflows.
  • Highly organised, calm under pressure and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced media environment.
  • Confident collaborator who builds strong relationships across editorial, commercial, marketing and technology teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into clear production outcomes.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable troubleshooting issues for others.
  • Understand how digital products are planned, built, tested and improved, and enjoy contributing beyond pure execution.
  • Data-aware and comfortable using reporting or analytics tools to help guide decisions and measure outcomes.
  • Comfortable working in agile delivery environments.
  • Experience with WordPress VIP or similar CMS platforms (Desirable).
  • Basic HTML and CSS knowledge (Desirable).
  • Experience working with newsroom, publishing or subscription products (Desirable).
