About the Role

The Senior Policy Officer will be part of the Personal Injury Insurance Unit team, Health, Safety & Wellbeing Command. This role is responsible for formulating policy advice and recommendations, and managing the development and implementation of policy initiatives within their functional area to meet organizational and government commitments.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team in the development and refinement of complex policy initiatives relating to personal injury and income protection schemes.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience leading comprehensive research and analysis to develop sound policy options and evidence-based recommendations.
• Proven ability to provide policy advice to management and senior executive teams to support informed decision-making.
• Strong capability in interpreting legislation and regulatory frameworks to inform and shape sound policy recommendations.
• Exceptional communication and high-level professional writing skills.
• Experience in developing policy related to personal injury or income protection schemes (preferred).
• Must be an Australian Citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen.
• Must undergo a rigorous National Police (criminal history) Check and obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
