About the Role
The Busser/Runner will support bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff with various duties to ensure smooth restaurant and bar operations.
Responsibilities
- Support servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff with food running needs.
- Clear tables of used items and bring them to the kitchen for sorting/washing.
- Promptly reset tables to standard.
- Complete additional support requests from management and staff.
- Complete all daily side work tasks efficiently.
- Restock service station areas.
- Wash trays as needed to ensure proper sanitation and presentation.
- Change out depleted beverage syrup and kegs.
- Replenish ice bins.
- Proactively seek additional duties such as wiping menus, sweeping, and cleaning.
- Keep working and guest areas clean at all times.
- Remove trash as needed.
- Handle guest complaints professionally, solve problems, and follow up.
- Communicate unresolved elevated complaints to a supervisor/manager.
- Demonstrate a team-focused attitude and encourage collaboration.
- Understand and use safe work practices, including emergency procedures.
- Comply with all policies outlined in the Handbook, including attendance, uniform, and anti-harassment.
Requirements
- Ability to complete a satisfactory background check.
- Ability to perform assigned tasks, operate equipment, and complete job duties safely.
- Ability to work flexible hours based on business needs, including midweek and weekend days.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other departments.
- Communicate effectively with guests, managers, and colleagues.
- Attend all scheduled meetings and training sessions.
- Ability to remain standing for extended periods.
- Ability to move up and down stairs.
- Ability to move quickly based on guest needs.
- Capable of regularly moving and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to use repetitive manual dexterity for tasks like carrying, sweeping, wiping, and polishing.
- Ability to bend, stretch, and reach frequently, including above head, and repetitively during a shift.
