About the Role

As a Department Support Associate, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients and visitors at our Occupational and Employee Health Clinic. You’ll help create a welcoming, organized experience while keeping front desk operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and check patients in and out of the clinic
  • Verify demographics and insurance information and collect applicable payments
  • Schedule and reschedule appointments and help coordinate provider schedules
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to questions and route messages to the appropriate team member
  • Notify the clinical team when patients arrive and help communicate any delays
  • Maintain accurate information in the electronic medical record and Occupational Health systems
  • Process payments, mail, faxes and other front desk documentation
  • Partner with the clinical team to provide a friendly, efficient experience from arrival through checkout

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of related experience in medical office registration and customer service
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience working with electronic medical records
  • Strong customer service, communication and organizational skills
  • Comfort managing multiple priorities in a busy front desk environment while providing a welcoming patient experience
