About the Role
The Endpoint Engineering team supports customer environments, recommends best practices, and designs, builds, and improves end-user solutions. You will solve technical issues to enhance customer productivity, collaboration, and innovation. As an Endpoint Engineering Specialist/SOE Engineer, you will manage daily operations of customer endpoint systems with minimal direction and engage in project work. A key focus is ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The company offers financial incentives for engineers who certify in relevant technologies.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements of environment-wide configurations including user policies, device policies, security policies, firmware, drivers, and automation scripts through enterprise-grade endpoint management platforms (Intune)
- Ensure outstanding levels of customer satisfaction by demonstrating timely, professional, and attentive responses to customers and colleagues
- Operate in, and contribute to the winning culture of a high performing team
- Identify service improvements, efficiencies and/or cost reductions for Datacom customers
- Follow best practice methodologies and adhere to recognised ITIL processes (e.g., change/release)
- Perform upgrades on applicable hardware and operating systems as required/requested
- Provide maintenance and enhancements of deployed desktop operating system images (physical and virtual)
- Assist with projects as required and act as the lead
- Provide continuous high-quality upkeep of supporting documentation such as Designs, As-Builts, How-tos, environment reporting, risk registers, tickets, and roadmap lifecycles
- Occasional travel to Datacom, customer sites and conferences when required
Requirements
- Must be an AU Citizen
- Must be able to obtain a Baseline or NV1 clearance
- Related experience in endpoint engineering and SOE management
- Related experience working for a Managed Service Provider
- Strong Technical Knowledge of Microsoft Intune including Autopilot Deployment and Development
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
- Strong technical knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Strong technical knowledge of Active Directory – Group Policy Management
- Strong Scripting ability (PowerShell, VBScript, Batch)
- Experience with Windows 10 task sequencing and end point configuration
- Experience with facilitating large and enterprise scale software deployments
- Exceptional knowledge of Windows Modern Desktop technologies
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in SOE migrations, projects, and implementation
- Minimum 1+ years' experience in MECM
- Citrix experience
- Experience with M365 would be advantageous
- Good working knowledge of networking and TCP/IP, AD, DHP, DNS, certificate services and Enterprise applications
