About the Role

We are seeking a Medical Assistant II to support our back-office clinical team. You will work directly with providers, assist with procedures, and help ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for visits, exams, and procedures
  • Obtain vital signs, medical histories, and document medications/allergies
  • Perform in-office procedures: EKG, spirometry, peak flow, bone density, nebulizer treatments
  • Relay lab results and follow-up instructions to patients
  • Assist providers with exams and in-office procedures
  • Administer immunizations and injections and monitor patients afterward
  • Handle incoming calls from patients, pharmacies, and other medical offices
  • Communicate test results and next steps clearly and accurately
  • Process medication refill requests following provider protocols
  • Clean and sanitize exam rooms; sterilize instruments
  • Support clinic operations and collaborate with all departments

Requirements

  • 1 year of back-office Medical Assistant experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Dependable, polite, and patient-focused
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Able to adapt quickly and problem-solve in a busy clinic
  • Team-oriented and committed to delivering excellent care

Skills

  • Athena EMR experience
