About the Role
Our client, a leader in residential solar and storage, seeks a Legal Counsel, Litigation to advise senior leadership on litigation, compliance, and other legal matters. This role supports the company's mission to provide stable, resilient power solutions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the People Team and cross-functional leaders on employment-related issues, ensuring compliance with evolving employment laws.
- Champion the company’s ethical culture and core values across all departments and markets.
- Maintain a deep understanding of federal and state regulations to ensure company compliance and support growth.
- Collaborate effectively with senior management and external counsel.
- Leverage AI-driven insights and tools to optimize performance, or demonstrate a strong aptitude for adopting emerging technologies.
- Embody the company’s value of "We Love People" by communicating clearly and acting swiftly.
Requirements
- J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar (California Bar preferred).
- Minimum of 8+ years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house with an emphasis on employment law.
- Proven track record managing complex employment litigation.
- Expertise in employment law, particularly California employment law.
- Strong team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop legal professionals.
- Experience managing outside counsel legal budgets through Legal Tracker or similar platform.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
- Highly motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct and integrity.
- Proficiency in utilizing AI tools to enhance productivity and streamline workflows, or the agility to rapidly master new AI technologies.
