About the Role

Seeking qualified associate clinicians (AMFT, ACSW APCC) for a substance abuse and sex offender treatment program. This role offers hands-on clinical experience in a fast-paced community forensic setting, providing structured mentorship and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intakes & assessments for forensic clients, including screenings and interviews.
• Provide forensically informed support services to individuals with mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and/or behavioral instability.
• Perform comprehensive case management, maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant documentation.
• Prepare progress & treatment reports, assessments, and clinical notes in accordance with agency policies and standards.
• Maintain 60-65% Direct Clinical Contact, providing individual and group psychotherapy.
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care while maintaining ethical and professional standards.
• Maintain professional composure under high-stress or sensitive situations while managing confidential information.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Demonstrate professionalism by being a reliable and trustworthy colleague.
• Accountability for assigned clinical and administrative tasks.
• Perform additional responsibilities assigned by the Clinical Director.

Requirements

• Must adhere to California Sex Offender Management Board - State Certification Requirements (CASOMB).
• Must adhere to board licensing boards standards and requirements.
• Clear background check.
• Ability to work independently in the office and provide direct client services without another staff member present.
• Frequent movement: Ability to stand, walk, or remain stationary for extended periods.
• Lifting/Carrying: Lift and carry objects weighing up to 25–50 pounds.
• Manual Dexterity: Operate computers, EMR systems, and office equipment.
• Vision/Hearing: Clear vision and hearing for client observation, documentation, and communication.
• Navigation: Safely move through office, clinic, or community environments while interacting with clients or staff.

Experience Level

• At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders preferred
• Minimum of one year of substance abuse or CBT Training
• Experience providing treatment to adults and/or juveniles who have a history of sexually abusive, DV or Substance Abuse behaviors
• Experience in forensic settings (jail, court programs, re-entry, diversion, inpatient forensic) highly preferred

Education Level

• Master’s Degree or higher
• California State Licensed or license eligible
