About the Role
Are you a knowledgeable and experienced health and safety instructor passionate about construction safety education and keeping workers safe? Worksite Safety is looking to grow our team of instructors for the delivery of our CPO-approved Working at Heights program.
Responsibilities
- Delivering engaging and informative Working at Heights training to job seekers, the general public and new and current members of the construction industry
- Evaluating participants through practical skills and written evaluation
- Potentially delivering other courses in the future such as Forklift Training, Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) Training, Confined Space Entry and Rescue and more
- Organizing, filing and submitting digital and hard copy participant records following training
- Participating in team meetings and instructor development workshops
Requirements
- 3+ years experience delivering training (Working at Heights preferred, MEWP considered an asset)
- Background in construction management and/or other fall hazard-related industry
- Work experience or certification in occupational health & safety preferred
- Strong interest educating people on the importance and value of health & safety training
- Self-starter who is able to work independently, while also contributing to a team
- Strong presentation and adult-engagement skills
- Valid Ontario’s Driver Licence - occasional travel by car for work
- Able to legally work in Canada
