About the Role
Mount Thor is seeking exceptional individuals to help make Apple hardware performant at datacenter scale for AI workloads. This is an opportunity for candidates who can identify and own important problems within our infrastructure layer, driving them from conception to production.
Responsibilities
- Build the infrastructure layer that turns Apple hardware into elastic, developer-friendly compute for AI workloads.
- Span work across distributed systems, fleet control planes, machine provisioning and recovery, operating systems, networking, security, data center operations, hardware reliability, developer tools, and agentic engineering.
- Take ownership of ambiguous problems and drive them to measurable outcomes.
- Increase the speed and quality of work through effective use of AI and software agents.
Requirements
- Exceptional evidence of building, operating, or improving difficult systems.
- Strong technical or operational judgment, particularly around reliability, security, and recovery.
- A clear point of view about where Mount Thor should go and how you could help us get there.
- Ability to take an important problem from first principles through production.
- Understand operations if you are an engineer, and automate if you are an operator.
