About the Role
RSM US LLP is seeking a dynamic Business Development Director to drive growth in the Texas/Oklahoma market by selling Audit/Tax/Consulting services to clients within the Business & Professional Services (BPS) industry segments. The role focuses on acquiring new clients, particularly in marketing and advertising, environmental and facility services, workforce solutions, architecture/engineering, law, and accounting/consulting firms, selling all RSM services within the specified market.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing and qualifying opportunities with companies not currently served by the firm.
- Executing the sales plan and process, including coordination of internal and external resources.
- Leveraging networking contacts, professional affiliations, industry groups, and Centers of Influence.
- Collaborating with local and national industry team leaders to identify and target key companies.
- Supporting Partners, Principals, Directors, and Senior Managers in cross-selling services to existing clients.
- Working with marketing resources to develop targeted go-to-market plans.
- Providing feedback to National Sales Organization management on market opportunities.
- Leading all aspects of the sales process, including prospect targeting, sales strategy development, and pursuit team selection.
- Building and maintaining strong sales pipelines and forecasts.
- Preparing and facilitating presentations and proposals.
- Closing sales and finalizing agreements with customers.
- Co-leading growth efforts through direct prospecting, networking, and industry group participation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 6+ years of demonstrated success in selling professional services to corporations with revenues ranging from $20 million to over $1 billion.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex sales processes involving multiple team members and decision-makers (primarily C-suite).
- Demonstrated experience working with and having contacts within middle market BPS companies (assets of $100 million to $5 billion).
- Demonstrated network of COI's (Centers of Influence) including banking, legal, and other professional services relationships.
- Demonstrated expertise to drive a complex sales cycle from identification through closing.
- Ability to actively participate in/manage the RFP and SOW process.
- Experience leveraging a CRM tool for report generation and sales tracking.
- Prior experience leveraging social media technologies for networking.
- Excellent influence and negotiation skills.
- Strong executive presence and business acumen.
- Must be motivated and self-disciplined.
- Must possess strong time management skills.
- Travel is required (local and overnight when appropriate).

- Sales commissions and discretionary bonus may be eligible
