About the Role
The Forward Deployed Engineering Team within the Data and Insights Organization is a specialized capability focused on solving diverse business problems. This team partners with Product Solutions and key business stakeholders to rapidly build and deploy automation and solutions using data and AI. The role involves working directly with customers on various problems, leveraging world-class data platforms to create solutions, and requires strong software engineering and data fundamentals.
Responsibilities
- Deliver impactful solutions for diverse stakeholders by stepping into different problem spaces and working with diverse people to turn work that takes weeks into minutes.
- Perform full-stack engineering, flexing across backend, frontend, data pipelines, AI tools, Python, and React, using AI effectively to deliver solutions while maintaining engineering excellence.
- Deliver AI solutions by designing, building, and deploying production solutions to accelerate non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrate product sense and impact by rapidly understanding and developing solutions without curated requirements, delivering impact with little context.
- Exhibit empathy and customer communication skills, communicating in non-technical language to stakeholders from entry to executive level, managing expectations, and keeping customers updated.
- Engineer AI solutions, leveraging tools like Gemini, Cortex Code, and Genie Code to transform solution delivery from weeks into hours.
- Be curious and adaptable, exploring new technologies and flexing across various problems and domains daily, comfortable with dozens of different problems for different stakeholders at any given time.
- Stay aligned by contributing to standards and leveraging existing tools and systems to ensure FDE solutions align with the Data and Insights engineering roadmap.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience.
- Exposure to customers.
- Experience with Python.
- Experience with data pipelining (e.g., ETL).
- Experience with either Snowflake and/or Databricks.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Gemini, Cortex Code, and Genie Code.
- Ability to wield AI tools to turn solution delivery from weeks into hours.
- Experience with Genie Code or Cortex Code, Notebooks, and Streamlit to deliver solutions.
- Imaginative and able to think of ways to rapidly solve problems.
- Strong focus on the customer with a bias to action to deliver value quickly.
- Deeply motivated to fix pain points.
- Ability to take a manual workflow and use AI to make it seamless.
- Passion for learning and yearning for feedback, valuing the opportunity for daily growth.
