About the Role

Join one of Canada’s top performing asset managers as a Senior Associate on the Asset Mix and Trading team, focusing on trading and portfolio management. You will collaborate with the Manager on client analysis, differentiated trading, alternative investment management, and custom account portfolio management, enhancing our product base for private clients.

Responsibilities

  • Execute pooled fund trade execution and oversight, including specialized SEG trading.
  • Execute asset mix and cash flow trades in accordance with client SIPs.
  • Perform client analysis and portfolio management for standard and custom mandates.
  • Conduct differentiated trading, including derivatives, SEG, and Alternative Investment Capital call trading.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on data integrity, special trade requests, trade issues, and ad hoc activities.
  • Contribute to collateral management for derivative trading.
  • Assist with cash management and monitoring for Alternative investment trusts.
  • Support client account constraint monitoring and related portfolio management considerations.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in financial services, risk management, or a related industry.
  • Proficiency in capital markets, financial concepts, and various account types (RRSPs, TFSAs, LIRAs, FHSAs, Corporate/Personal taxable accounts, etc.).
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong data manipulation capabilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite applications.
  • Functional/technical expertise.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ownership, growth mindset, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Effective planning, judgment, and decision-making abilities.
