About the Role
Podium Automation is seeking its first Senior Technical Recruiter & People Partner to lead talent acquisition and employee experience initiatives. This role will shape the talent and people functions at a growing hardware startup, focusing on attracting, hiring, and supporting employees across engineering, production, and business operations.
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting for technical roles across software, hardware, controls, manufacturing, and operations.
- Partner with founders and hiring managers to scope roles, build hiring plans, and define interview loops.
- Source candidates proactively and engage them.
- Manage a fast, high-signal candidate experience.
- Build the talent operating system, including ATS hygiene, scorecards, structured interviews, referral programs, and reporting.
- Own onboarding from offer acceptance through ramp.
- Manage employee setup, including equipment, accounts, payroll, and benefits enrollment.
- Design and run people programs such as onboarding journeys, recognition, team rituals, feedback cycles, and culture-building.
- Partner with leadership on policies, handbook, compliance, and HR operations.
- Help shape employer brand, candidate marketing, and community presence.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience spanning technical recruiting and people operations, ideally in-house at a high-growth startup.
- Full-cycle recruiting track record across diverse technical functions, including hardware, electrical, mechanical, controls, or manufacturing talent.
- Hands-on experience with onboarding, employee setup, HRIS/payroll tools, and the operational backbone of a people function.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High ownership, low ego, and a fast metabolism for work.
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and minimal process.
- Genuine interest in the company's mission.
