About the Role
Momentic is building the future of quality with an AI-native automated testing platform. This platform helps customers ensure quality at every stage of the SDLC, with top engineering teams at companies like Notion, Retool, and Webflow already using it. The product space is large, offering significant opportunities for engineers to build and own features.
Responsibilities
- Build and own features within the AI-native automated testing platform.
- Integrate LLMs into real-world applications.
- Contribute to the development of a sticky product used on every pull request, merge, and before each deploy.
- Work with a modern tech stack including React, TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes.
Requirements
- Experience with LLM performance tuning, including prompt engineering and context management strategies.
- Experience with LLM evaluations and observability.
- Experience integrating LLMs into real-world applications using a modern tech stack (Python, TypeScript, etc.).
- Familiarity and experience with supervised fine-tuning (SFT) and/or reinforcement learning fine tuning (RLFT) on platforms such as fireworks, Together AI, or Baseten.
- Familiarity with evaluation dataset engineering, prompt engineering, LLM as a judge verifiers, and RL environments.
- 3+ years of experience.
- Experience with supervised or reinforced fine-tuning.
- Experience with classical machine learning techniques such as template matching, bounding box detection, and OCR.
- Experience running statistical experiments.
- Strong engineering fundamentals.
- Ability to code efficiently.
- Ability to identify personal strengths and weaknesses.
- Preference for focused building and shipping code over meetings.
- Thrives with autonomy and ownership of project details.
- Ability to project manage own work.
- Willingness to work in-person in SF or relocate.
