About the Role

Rye Country Day School is seeking a Girls JV Volleyball Head Coach for the season between August 24th and November 9th. Involvement in the middle school girls volleyball program is encouraged but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Head Girls JV Volleyball Coach for the Upper School
  • Effectively plan and organize both practice and competition calendars in conjunction with Athletic Director and Staff
  • Create an inclusive, exciting, and challenging environment each day
  • Collaborate with the assistant coaches in planning and communication
  • Maintain a safe environment at all times
  • Communicate with athletes, parents, coaches, and opponents in a professional manner

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-years successful high school Girls Head or Assistant Coaching experience
  • A passion for athletic competition and the ability to motivate and inspire athletes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive school community
  • Energetic and enthusiastic, flexible and patient
