About the Role

The Electrical Assembler operates equipment and performs manual soldering and assembly processes required to build and test electrical coil assemblies to customer specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Setup and operation of manual and automated coil winding equipment
  • Preparation and soldering of coil and PCB assemblies
  • Setup and operation of manual and semi-automated wire stripping machines
  • Setup and operation of a Thermal Chamber, RF Pre-heater and Transfer Molding Press
  • Potting of coil assemblies with two part epoxy encapsulant
  • Manual trimming, cleaning and inspection of assemblies
  • Performance of dielectric and resistance testing using stand alone or semi-automated systems
  • Installation and testing of crimp connectors
  • Identification and communication of quality issues
  • Accurate and timely completion of all job related documentation, including logging information in Epicor
  • General housekeeping in assigned work areas and participation in lean opportunities
  • Reading and understanding drawings, work instructions, and applicable specifications
  • Completion of all job-related training as required by the Training Matrix

Requirements

  • Must be able to read and understand drawings, work instructions, and applicable specifications
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision
  • Meticulous attention to detail, as products are aerospace related and quality/compliance is critical
  • Well organized with strong verbal communication skills
  • Must be knowledgeable of standard safety policies and procedures and adhere to them
  • Responsible for complying with company hazardous waste disposal procedures
  • Applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government due to export control regulations
