About the Role
Join our Operations team as Head of Construction for Photovoltaic Systems. Lead and grow a dedicated project team, guiding PV systems from construction to successful commissioning. Ensure smooth project execution, timely grid connection, and maximize sustainable energy utilization for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of six project managers responsible for constructing photovoltaic projects.
- Ensure the scheduled and error-free commissioning of PV systems on commercial and industrial buildings, as well as open spaces.
- Support technical planning, installation, and commissioning of PV systems, taking responsibility for quality, deadlines, and costs.
- Manage and supervise installation partners, including final negotiation of project-specific general contractor contracts.
- Prepare regular reports on project progress, risks, and challenges for management and initiate necessary actions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and quality standards.
- Actively participate in optimizing internal processes and selecting new partner companies and software tools.
- Take an active role in mentoring and developing less experienced colleagues in project management.
- Further expand the department, creating scalable processes and structures for continued growth.
- Foster a culture of personal responsibility, quality, and team spirit within your area.
- Implement KPI-based management to make the quality, efficiency, and profitability of our projects transparently measurable.
- Drive continuous improvements in construction management to implement our projects even more efficiently, safely, and sustainably.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energies, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in construction management and project management in the field of photovoltaics or in coordinating comparable infrastructure projects.
- In-depth experience in personnel management and confident communication skills to lead interdisciplinary teams and cooperate successfully with partners.
- Demonstrable expertise in establishing and strategically designing efficient project management structures.
- Solid understanding of the relevant standards, regulations, and occupational safety guidelines in the PV industry.
- Structured, solution-oriented approach with a high degree of personal responsibility and assertiveness.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and flexibility in working methods.
