About the Role
MODE is a dynamic, fast-growing early-stage startup at the forefront of the generative AI and IoT revolution, forging innovative solutions that bridge the physical and digital worlds while expanding its presence in both Japan and the US.
Responsibilities
- Lead the roadmap for the BizStack platform, from front-end to back-end, to ensure scalability for all customers.
- Collaborate with engineering and UX teams to design and prioritize platform features with scalability and durability.
- Translate customer and industry requirements into platform architecture and feature decisions.
- Balance trade-offs between technical debt, performance, scalability, and feature delivery timelines.
- Define and track platform health metrics, including performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Rapidly build simple proofs-of-concept (PoCs) using AI agents and tools to validate technical approaches.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align platform investments with overall BizStack strategy.
Requirements
- 3+ years of product management experience in technical or platform products (junior to mid-level).
- Strong technical knowledge, sufficient to discuss front-end and back-end architectures smoothly with engineers.
- 3+ years of experience with B2B solutions or SaaS products.
- Energetic and proactive mindset with a strong commitment to execution and completion.
- Business-level English proficiency (equivalent to or higher than Japanese university graduation level).
- Comfortable building simple prototypes using AI tools and agents (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, no-code/low-code platforms).
- Strong collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams including engineering, UX, and business.
- Ability to commute to the office at least once a week.
