About the Role

Box is seeking a Senior Sales Compensation Analyst to manage the monthly mechanics of variable compensation, ensuring accurate payouts and providing actionable insights. This role is crucial for maintaining seller trust, supporting revenue operations, and informing leadership decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end monthly commission calculations, validations, and approvals across global GTM roles with zero-defect execution.
  • Aggregate and reconcile data from Salesforce, Workday, and other sources.
  • Build and maintain robust Excel models using advanced functions, complex lookups, and error checks.
  • Manage monthly run-the-business workflows, timelines, and stakeholder communications with Commissions, Finance, and GTM leaders.
  • Partner with GTM Strategy, Finance, and Commissions to troubleshoot exceptions, resolve data discrepancies, and document decisions.
  • Build and iterate forecast and scenario models to support planning cycles, quota changes, and new-hire ramp assumptions.
  • Calculate new-hire quotas and proration logic; coordinate with People/HR and Sales Ops for timely set-up and policy alignment.
  • Create clear reporting and audit trails; standardize processes, controls, and SOPs for scale and repeatability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying automation opportunities, streamlining handoffs, and upleveling data quality.
  • Document processes and policies related to Rules of Engagement for the GTM teams.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in Sales Compensation, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or related analytics roles.
  • Advanced Excel expertise (e.g., INDEX/MATCH/XLOOKUP, nested logic, pivot tables, complex data modeling, error handling).
  • Proven experience reconciling and transforming large datasets from CRM/HRIS/Financial systems.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a track record of delivering accurate payouts under tight monthly deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Process-first mindset with the ability to document, standardize, and improve recurring workflows.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with commissions platforms, quota/proration logic, or financial modeling for GTM planning is a plus.
