Responsibilities

Identifies and segregates defective material within individual slit rolls.
Combines leftover good material into finished rolls and palletizes for shipment.
Facilitates on-the-job training for team members on proper use of tools, equipment, safety, and operating procedures.
Mounts and removes slit rolls of product onto machine shafts using a lift cart.
Sets up and adjusts machinery.
Identifies defects and splices good material together per specifications.
Reads and understands product specifications.
Identifies required packaging materials for palletizing finished product.
Occasionally uses hand tools to prepare packaging materials.
Completes daily production reports.
Operates stretch wrap machine to wrap finished pallets.
Regularly cleans machine and surrounding area.
Actively participates in safety programs, makes safety observations, and follows plant safety rules.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Dr Winder experience is a plus.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
Occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
Manual lifting not to exceed 50 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
Occasionally exposed to vibration.
Moderate noise level in the work environment.
