About the Role
Under the direction of the Jewelry Selling Manager, the Jewelry Operations Associate supports all operational functions of the Jewelry Department, including merchandise processing, returns, transfers, repairs, inventory maintenance, and communication with the Corporate Buying Team.
Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and book all jewelry according to company standards.
- Enter all merchandise into the case count system after receipt.
- Process merchandise for vendor returns or transfers according to company standards.
- Maintain a repair log, check merchandise in/out, and track all repairs.
- Submit repair invoices with proper documentation to Accounts Payable.
- Receive merchandise for trunk shows and verify against the manifest.
- Assist with trunk show set-up/take-down, compile results, and recap business.
- Complete case counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Reticket all merchandise without tickets.
- Prepare special order requests and submit to buyers.
- Assist Selling Manager and associates on the selling floor as needed.
- Ensure the department is stocked with supplies.
- Perform other store initiatives as assigned by management.
- Handle ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to quickly learn systems, jewelry standards, and IT applications.
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
