Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely implementation of the people development plan and verify team competencies.
  • Provide proper training on equipment operation, safety procedures, and hygiene practices.
  • Enforce compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure processes comply with SOPs, SSOPs, and other documentation.
  • Communicate and execute activities with environmental impact according to protocols.
  • Ensure achievement of quality objectives, including adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation audits, food safety checks, and product quality inspections.
  • Participate in preventing and correcting quality-related errors.
  • Monitor and enforce personnel hygiene and safety practices.
  • Continuously coach employees to meet and exceed job requirements using the NCE approach.
  • Review daily target achievements and report deviations.
  • Develop and implement action plans to address root causes of failures and support continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate smooth handoffs and communicate key information effectively.
  • Ensure continuous line controls and take immediate corrective action to maintain quality standards.
  • Maintain effective employee and industrial relations for smooth factory operations.
  • Ensure adequate distribution of skills to achieve the production plan.
  • Ensure timely product launches in coordination with the business unit/area.
  • Coordinate with quality, engineering, and administration for facility maintenance.
  • Review daily maintenance effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Prioritize, schedule, and ensure timely completion of maintenance and repairs.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years related work experience (including military service) in lieu of degree, preferred.
  • 1-3 years previous production supervisory experience.
  • Ability to maintain a safe working environment through proper housekeeping and safety practices.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and listening).
  • Basic understanding of warehousing and concepts.
  • Strong ability to build personal relationships based on trust, mutual respect, and open communication.
  • Adaptable: adjust approach to match varied task requirements, adapt behavior to others' styles, change priorities to meet shifting demands, and quickly adjust to new responsibilities and tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt communication style to various audiences, effectively facilitating group coaching sessions and sharing information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, consistently maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Ability to motivate individuals, particularly through mentoring and coaching.
  • Skilled in assisting individuals in identifying development needs and providing support for growth.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities through highly developed organizational skills.
  • Ability to set effective and challenging objectives.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting through root cause problem solving.
  • High energy level and excellent follow-up.
  • ERP Knowledge (SAP strongly preferred).
  • Intermediate level computer skills in Microsoft Office, NT/XP/Vista version(s).
  • Must be able to lift 15-20 lb. boxes repeatedly.
  • Must be able to stand for extended amounts of time.
  • Must be flexible to work weekends.
