About the Role
HUB International is seeking a Producer to join their team. The role involves producing new business and assisting with ongoing client service in alignment with company practices and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Develop and achieve maximum sales volume consistent with individual and company objectives.
- Identify, develop, and qualify new prospects, and handle company-generated leads.
- Contact prospects to schedule appointments and gather information on expirations.
- Cross-sell various lines of business across all company profit centers.
- Prepare accurate and complete applications for new and renewal business, including narratives describing operations.
- Collaborate on the preparation of marketing submissions for new business.
- Interface with company support staff and the Marketing Department to review accounts and determine marketing strategies.
- Prepare and present proposals to prospects and clients, and close sales.
- Develop and maintain a loyal customer base considering geographic and market factors.
- Coordinate ongoing service for existing accounts with the Account Manager.
- Collaborate with the Account Manager to design and maintain appropriate insurance programs for existing accounts.
- Maintain production reports and attend required sales meetings.
- Assist in collecting payments, arranging financing, or canceling coverage.
- Assume responsibility for client accounts, serving as the primary contact for issues, coverage concerns, and collections.
- Produce and service new commercial accounts while enhancing HUB International New England’s image.
- Stay informed about industry changes and trends to anticipate and respond to profit objectives.
- Conduct business in a manner that reflects an understanding of business and earnings implications.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements
- Previous experience in sales of intangible products.
- Ability to identify potential clients and initiate contact.
- Producers Property and Casualty license.
- Clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
- Willing and able to travel locally for client visits.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Sales Officer.
