About the Role
We are seeking a strong engineer passionate about building scalable systems to innovate on our communication platform. This role involves full-stack development, from backend infrastructure to defining the messaging interface for millions of members. As a foundational team member, you will drive key architectural changes for the messaging layer.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, release, and scale changes to our mobile and backend architecture
- Collaborate effectively with the cross-functional team to solve complex problems within the team domain
- Develop thoroughly tested code and conduct quality assurance on all new code
- Work in a team as well as independently to deliver on goals to accelerate development velocity while delivering the best experience to our members
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years experience of fullstack development
- Experience in backend development and frameworks
- Experience in mobile development and frameworks
- Experience working cross functionally and collaborating well with team members
- Understanding of architectural patterns of large production services built for scale
- Ability to safely make changes without disrupting and introducing regressions to millions of users
- A passion for learning and sharing knowledge alongside teammates, with self-motivation and keen attention to detail
- A strong empathy for the users of the products you create
