About the Role
As a Project Accountant at Dome Construction, you will play a critical role in managing the financial health of landmark construction projects from startup through closeout. You'll partner closely with Project Managers, Project Executives, and Operations teams to ensure financial accuracy and support project success.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage project billings and client invoices
- Monitor project budgets, costs, cash flow, and financial reporting
- Track accounts receivable and support collections efforts
- Manage purchase orders, subcontract financial documentation, and compliance requirements
- Coordinate trade partner invoicing and lien release processes
- Support project setup and accounting system administration
- Partner with Project Managers to provide accurate financial data and forecasting
- Help ensure compliance with contract requirements and accounting standards
- Assist with project closeout activities, final billings, and reconciliations
Requirements
- 3+ years of construction accounting or project accounting experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and overall proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience managing project budgets, billings, and cost reporting
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, team-first mindset and desire to continuously learn
