About the Role

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain installations for customers across the UK. This role involves working store opening hours, with potential for overnight and installation attendance. The technician will be responsible for the successful maintenance, deployment, and adoption of the company's AI retail system. Physical stamina, proficiency with power tools, and meeting KPIs are essential.

Responsibilities

Onsite and offsite maintenance of camera hardware, including diagnosing issues, installation, replacement, and configuration.
Conduct routine preventative maintenance checks to identify and address potential issues.
Respond promptly to service calls and ensure customer SLAs are met.
Maintain accurate records of service activities using company-provided tools.
Onboard and scan products into the system.
Attend installations at client sites, potentially during night hours.
Install Focal Systems product onto shelves, ceilings, and other equipment according to installation plans.
Operate power tools safely and efficiently.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of installations.
Maintain a high level of attention to detail to meet quality standards.
Meet or exceed speed and quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding progress and challenges.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Proven Field Service Technician Experience, preferably in field service, installation, construction, or a related field.
Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
Proficiency in using power tools and other installation equipment.
Strong physical stamina for demanding tasks.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Effective communication skills.
Valid UK driving licence.
Reliable transportation to travel to sites.
Ability to work nights and weekends.
