About the Role
Photon is building the modern prescription network and manufacturers are a critical part of that vision. You'll be working at the intersection of patient access, pharmacy strategy, and healthcare infrastructure at a company that has already demonstrated traction with commercial partners. This is a rare opportunity to own a segment, build relationships that last decades, and be part of a team that genuinely believes the status quo in prescription technology is broken and knows how to fix it.
Responsibilities
- Close deals while owning the full sales cycle across pharma manufacturers and life sciences companies, from target identification and cold outreach through business case development, program scoping, contract negotiation, and signature, then grow the accounts you land by expanding into additional patient access programs
- Navigate complex stakeholder environments spanning brand and marketing, market access, patient services, trade/channel, legal/compliance, and C-suite sponsors while building multi-threaded relationships that keep deals moving across the sales cycle
- Speak the language of our buyers while demonstrating tech literacy in conversations about pharmacy economics, patient access program design, and the workflow and patient experience implications of modernizing prescription routing
- Maintain CRM hygiene and accurate forecasting so the business can plan around your pipeline and board-level commitments reflect reality
- Partner directly with product to shape what we build, relaying what you learn about competitive dynamics and buyer priorities so the roadmap reflects what the market actually wants
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-cycle enterprise sales experience selling to pharma manufacturers and life sciences companies
- Demonstrated success closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals with 3-9 month sales cycles
- Deep familiarity with manufacturer-sponsored patient access programs (copay, PAP, hubs, DTC, employer programs) and the vendors and service models that support them
- Proven ability to self-generate pipeline without SDR support
- Proven track record of quota attainment, with a history of consistently meeting and exceeding targets
- Based in or willing to relocate to the NYC metro area; able to work from our Williamsburg office 3+ days per week; remote considered for exceptional candidates
- Willingness to travel regularly for customer site visits and industry conferences
- Experience selling into market access, brand, or patient services teams, or working at a hub, PSP, specialty pharmacy, agency, or data/technology vendor serving manufacturers
- Existing relationships with market access, brand, or patient services leadership at manufacturers
- Experience selling integrated patient support programs into a landscape of established vendors, where the win comes from a better patient experience and richer insight into patient behavior and preferences
- Experience working in an early-stage company where you've helped improve an initial sales process and playbook, not just execute within one
