About the Role

St. Barnabas Healthcare System is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team in New York City. This role supports financial decision-making by developing profit and loss statements, gathering information for projects, and interpreting data for analytical reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop monthly profit and loss statements for service areas to assist Administration in financial decisions.
• Collaborate with Administration and department heads to gather information for project completion.
• Interpret data from the Hospital database to provide analytical reports for Administration.
• Assist with monthly account analysis.
• Assist with the preparation of the monthly financial statement process.
• Support year-end audit procedures, including lead sheets, work papers, inquiries, supporting documentation, and financial statements.
• Prepare monthly grant vouchers and annual budgets for external entities and monitor grant cash payments.
• Participate in the annual budget submission, including preparing budget templates and uploading data into the budget tool.
• Perform ongoing budget tool updates and adjustments throughout the budgetary cycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of health care financial experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office, including pivot tables, v-lookups, and complex formulas.
• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a challenging environment.
