Responsibilities

• Perform all labor duties necessary to assist compounders with the production of flavor products.
• Follow written and verbal instructions for handling and measuring chemical ingredients and products.
• Perform labor duties related to packaging and labeling of manufactured products for shipment.
• Physically stand and lift/carry an average of 50 lbs. repetitively during an 8-hour work shift/consistently for a 40-hour work week.
• Comprehend and apply automated material management practices with accuracy (e.g., SAP program).
• Operate production machinery and equipment (e.g., conveyers, forklifts) safely.
• Demonstrate leadership in learning and applying company safety policies, practices, and procedures.
• Work overtime on an as-needed basis.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervision/management.
• Work under direct supervision on an infrequent basis.
• Demonstrate initiative for performing various job tasks on an as-needed basis 30-70% of the time, without specific directions.
• Ensure all processes and procedures related to inventory management are maintained and followed, including FIFO, quantities consumed, movement #, and location.
• Check equipment and tools prior to usage and report any damage/malfunction immediately.
• Consistently apply EHS considerations to protect health and safety and prevent adverse environmental effects.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English on a level needed to interact with other employees.
• Able to perform basic math calculations with the use of a calculator.
• Computer knowledge is essential.
• Basic comprehension of chemical and physical hazard information and application of safety procedures.
• Safe operation of material handling and packaging equipment on a consistent basis.
• Must be capable of regularly standing.
• Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance.
• Regularly required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of materials on a repetitive basis.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• May handle hazardous chemicals, solvents, or mixtures.
• Required to wear all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including eye protection, gloves, uniforms, and safety shoes.
