About the Role
Mexican Sugar is seeking a Server to provide guests with a fresh, lighter, and better Latin dining experience, offering sultry Mexican comfort with exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Provide comforting, effortless, and warm service, anticipating guest needs.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of menu items, including origins, pronunciations, and ingredients.
- Recommend beverages, including handcrafted margaritas, wines, and tequilas.
- Create loyal guests through bilingual and detailed resort-style service.
- Inspire teammates and foster a collaborative environment.
- Balance excellent service with efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum two years of serving experience, preferably in high-end casual or fine dining.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in using knives and other necessary equipment.
- Maintain a current Food Handler's Certification and TABC Certification.
- Practice proper sanitation procedures and follow regulations regarding alcohol sale and service.
