About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer / Business Developer to join our growing traffic team in New York City. This role involves leading and supporting a variety of transportation projects that make a real impact, contributing to the future of mobility by leveraging emerging technologies for a more equitable and resilient ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Actively participates and leads business development by delivering quality work, providing excellent client service, and assisting in preparing proposals on various pursuits.
- Helps lead our team of TPTE professionals, managing resources to ensure projects are completed accurately and within budget and time frame.
- Takes an active mentoring role; encourages, motivates, and develops staff for high performance.
- Leads transportation planning studies, traffic impact analyses, and safety assessments – including Environmental Impact Assessments and Planning and Environmental Linkages studies.
- Participates in interviews and hiring of new staff members.
- Collaborates with roadway and structural engineers on iterative design processes.
- Represents the organization at professional organizations and conferences.
- Presents technical concepts at public meetings and supports stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
- Must be able to be in the office three days a week to balance opportunities for collaboration and mentorship with the flexibility needed for a healthy work-life balance.

Salary/Compensations
- Pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
