About the Role
Silvercrest Senior Residences provides housing for low-income seniors, with residents paying 30% of their income and HUD covering the difference. These communities offer apartment-style living designed to encourage independent living.
Responsibilities
- Receive applications from prospective residents and explain eligibility requirements.
- Keep application packets accurate and up to date.
- Prepare and maintain move-in and move-out inspection packets.
- Process applications for occupancy in accordance with HUD and Fair Housing regulations.
- Assist in performing income certification, re-certification, and verification functions.
- Keep office files, records, and reference materials in neat and accurate order.
- Maintain resident files in neat order in accordance with established filing systems.
- Process requests for maintenance work orders from residents according to established maintenance policies.
- Assist manager with maintaining annual calendar of events.
- Compose general correspondences, memos, etc., and proofread for accuracy.
- Assist with keeping inventory of office supplies.
- Provide records and reports as required by supervisor.
- Assist as needed with managing tenants.
- Create, submit, and follow-up with work orders.
- Comply with Silvercrest Operating Procedures Manual and Salvation Army policies.
- Represent The Salvation Army in a positive and professional manner.
- Perform other duties as requested by Supervisor.
Requirements
- Ability to speak Cantonese or Mandarin required.
- Consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
