About the Role
As a Lease Administrator, you will oversee the lease administration process, ensuring precision, compliance, and smooth documentation management within a dynamic community setting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation, review, and execution of lease agreements, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date lease files in adherence with company policies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing inquiries, facilitating renewals, and handling modifications.
- Communicate lease terms, address concerns, and coordinate lease renewal processes, including negotiations.
- Manage lease terminations with a focus on compliance and required documentation.
- Monitor and track rent payments for timely and accurate collection.
- Handle rent adjustments, concessions, and other financial aspects of lease agreements.
- Review vacancy leases for accuracy and completeness.
- Abstract and interpret residential lease documents.
- Process resident move-ins/move-outs, including security deposit refunds and annual apartment registrations.
- Generate lease renewals and track/follow up on lease expirations.
- Maintain precise records in lease management software.
- Generate reports and analytics on lease status, expirations, and financial performance.
- Stay informed about local, state, and federal regulations impacting lease agreements.
- Collaborate with legal counsel on lease-related legal matters.
- Foster communication with property management teams to resolve tenant concerns related to lease terms.
- Be present on-site to communicate effectively with tenants, staff, vendors, and visitors.
- Ascend and descend stairs and be comfortable with varying environmental climates.
- Perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year of experience with residential real estate lease administration.
- Familiarity with NYC Rent Stabilization laws.
- Proficiency in computer navigation and property management software, including Microsoft Office, iLuvLeasing, On-Site, and Yardi.
- Valid NYS real estate license or ability to obtain one within 120 days of employment.
- Must register license with Rose Associates upon hire.
- Must have work authorization.
- Must be able to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).
