About the Role

As the Custodian/Porter, you will play a pivotal role in our organization, ensuring a clean, well-maintained, and safe environment for our families in the facility. Join us and be a part of an organization that values your contribution and cares deeply for the community we serve.

Responsibilities

• Performs general cleaning and custodial duties in the common areas of the building.
• Assists in cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and staff lounge.
• Ensures cleaning supplies are stocked.
• Vacuum, sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors using brooms, mops or powered machines to strip floors.
• Washes windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
• Assist with Laundry Services.
• Clean and turnover housing units.
• Dust and Disinfect furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Assists in examining the building for safety hazards; reports deficiencies to Director of Building Operations, and/or Administrator of the Facility.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with custodial work.
• Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 60 pounds at a time.
