Our digital desk centrally manages all regional and national news topics from Berlin, aiming to provide readers with a more engaging journalistic experience on BILD.de and in regional reporting. Responsibilities

• Work in the news department at the Germany Desk.
• Prioritize and weight the ongoing news situation.
• Write and revise news texts with targeted AI support.
• Utilize AI tools for structuring, condensing, and optimizing content.
• Develop precise, click-worthy, and news-focused headlines.
• Optimize dramaturgy, structure, and storytelling for maximum impact.
• Work data-driven and KPI-driven.

Requirements

• Demonstrate journalistic experience in a newsroom and a good command of language.
• Possess news judgment and a deep understanding of the German news landscape.
• Utilize digital tools, performance metrics, and Artificial Intelligence for productive editorial work.
• Make quick and clear decisions to confidently manage the news situation.
• Remain calm and focused even in turbulent situations.
• Think digital-first and be committed to continuous development.
• Be strong in German communication and proficient with editorial systems.
• Be open to flexible shift work, including Sundays and public holidays.
