About the Role
The Technical Recruiter participates in a full range of activities around the selection of technical talent for the organization. The Technical Recruiter develops recruiting strategies, identifies recruiting sources and networks, and interviews and assesses technical candidates to build the talent pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Conducts strategy meetings with field hiring managers to identify needs, expectations, clarify processes and provide regular updates
- Attends technical career fairs, technical school events, and other community and industry outreach activities as Hunter Truck technical recruiting representative
- Recruits and selects qualified personnel for skilled technical openings, particularly positions such as Diesel Technicians
- Sources, screens and refers technical candidates to hiring managers
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with candidates and managers, providing continuous feedback throughout the process.
- Develops recruiting strategies to identify the best ways to reach top technical talent
- Identifies recruiting sources and networks to maintain the best face to face and digital presence and constantly be on the lookout for new ways to build our network.
- Identifies candidates for vacant technical positions, including assessing job postings and following up on employee referrals, screening resumes and conducting interviews by phone, in person or via Microsoft Teams.
- Creates and maintains a communication plan that promotes a partnership for acquiring the necessary technical talent
- Collaborates with the HR Team to ensure job postings are on the most relevant platforms and that open technical requisitions are filled in an effective, efficient manner with the most qualified, best fit candidate
- Actively and constructively participates in team meetings and professional development activities to remain relevant when recruiting within our industry
- Maintains current knowledge of emerging technology to stay abreast of innovative sourcing trends and best recruitment practices.
- Maintains memberships in/rapport with professional associations in diesel industry, and secondary/post- secondary education institutions.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of and/or background in the medium/heavy duty industry.
- Exhibits comfort speaking in front of large groups of students, peers, vendors and potential employees

- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Valid Driver’s License required with ability to pass company insurability standards
