About the Role
Strategic Mission Critical (SMC) is seeking an Entry Level Building Management System Engineer/Designer to execute Controls design for mission-critical projects, including data centers and hyperscale facilities. This role involves working under senior engineers, collaborating with various design disciplines, and contributing to the firm's operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Execute specific BMS and EPMS design tasks for various project types.
- Coordinate with clients and design leads from all disciplines.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and clients.
- Meet scheduled project deadlines, including working necessary hours for major deliverables.
- Perform independent research to further career growth.
- Utilize Autodesk Revit to produce detailed design documents.
- Assist with performing the design of systems network topology.
- Develop one-line detail diagrams.
- Select and specify BMS equipment.
- Review and understand local and national construction codes and project specifications.
- Use Microsoft tools such as Word, Power Point, Excel, and Teams.
- Travel to project sites when required (less than 10%).
- Clearly communicate with others in both written and spoken forms.
- Take direction from senior and mid-level engineers and designers.
- Work independently while coordinating with senior personnel and other disciplines.
- Participate in training and mentoring opportunities.
- Maintain excellent organizational skills and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is a plus
Salary/Compensations
- $65,000-$100,000
