About the Role

Thomann Asphalt is seeking a skilled and motivated shop mechanic to ensure the functionality and reliability of vehicles and equipment through consistent inspections and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular maintenance inspections on vehicles and equipment
• Monitor repair parts and spare parts inventory
• Inspect machines, engines, transmissions, and related components, and run diagnostic tests to identify functional issues
• Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them on time
• Assemble mechanical components and perform repairs when needed

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving
• Ability to work well with others, take direction, and adapt to changes
• Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks at once time
• Self-motivated, safety-minded, dependable, and detail-oriented
• Adherence to the attendance policy
• Proven knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems

Location

• Indoor work environment
• Occasional outdoor work may be required

Work Type

• Full-time
• Extended hours, nights and weekend work may be necessary
• Approximately 50-60 hours per week in season

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certification from a vocational school or trade school is preferred

Salary/Compensations

• $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
