About the Role

This role is for an experienced, client-focused Electrical Engineer to join the Critical Systems team, playing a key role in delivering innovative electrical design solutions for notable and large-scale data centre projects. You will be involved in the design process, production of deliverables, managing and supporting a team, monitoring budgets and programmes, reviewing designs, and communicating with project and client teams.

Responsibilities

Deliver innovative electrical design solutions for data centre projects.
Manage and support an immediate team of engineers.
Monitor budgets and programmes.
Review designs.
Communicate confidently with wider project and client teams.
Manage, motivate, and inspire colleagues.
Support the development of less experienced engineers.
Produce electrical designs including schematic diagrams, layouts, and calculations.
Prepare specifications and project reports.
Carry out site inspections and surveys.
Develop detailed designs.
Contribute to project meetings.
Support project teams in delivering excellent, practical, and innovative electrical design solutions.

Requirements

Significant experience from an electrical engineering role, ideally within critical systems or data centres.
Equivalent electrical design experience gained in other sectors will be considered.
Strong track record of managing small to medium-scale projects.
Proven ability to lead small teams of engineers.
Consistently deliver high-quality work that meets or exceeds client expectations.
Confidence in taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through to completion.
Proactive approach to problem solving.
Ability to help guide the team towards effective solutions.
Appreciation of the importance of collaboration in a multidisciplinary design environment.
Strong organisation skills.
Clear communication skills.
Confidence working with clients.
