About the Role

Bercon Rentals Inc. is a family-owned Canadian equipment rental company specializing in aerial platform and material handling equipment. We empower our team to support customer success through honesty, integrity, and trust, with a promise of safety and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
• Assist in training lower-level technicians.
• Maintain complete and timely documentation of work performed.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Perform other assigned duties as required.

Requirements

• Level 3 Apprentice 421A preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5+ years of heavy equipment experience.
• 2+ years of aerial equipment experience (JLG, Genie, or equivalent).
• Possess a valid Heavy Equipment Service Technician License.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in customer service.
• Strong mechanical background knowledge with various engines and hydraulic systems.
• Good understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Exhibit teamwork.
• Strong verbal and written skills.
• Employees are expected to own the tools applicable to the position.
• Ability to test equipment up to 180 feet in the air.
• Applicant home location should be within 1 hour of the Bercon Hamilton, ON shop.

Salary/Compensations

• Pay ranges provided may be adjusted outside communicated range based on a number of reasons including geography, skill level and experience.
• Individuals may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
