About the Role

Oversee the work activities of cleaners within the site, ensuring a clean, orderly, and safe environment for employees and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
  • Schedule daily staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
  • Check cleaning equipment condition and order cleaning supplies as needed, ensuring secure storage.
  • Coordinate and liaise with clients and employees, handling complaints and feedback.
  • Inform the team of requests, confirm completion, inspect cleaner's work, and submit daily cleanliness reports.
  • Initiate regular training on procedures for chemical cleaner usage.
  • Ensure standardized cleaning processes meet company standards.
  • Provide daily cleaning support to private areas of the building as needed.
  • Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to accomplish team objectives.
  • Establish new techniques to ensure the team meets its objectives.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE-GDS values.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of job-related experience.
  • Prior shift manager or supervisory experience.
  • Ability to fulfill physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting/carrying 50 lbs or more.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.

Skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Master-level inquisitive mindset.
