About the Role
This role is a hands-on, high-craft woodworking position with opportunities for learning and growth. The Fine Woodworker/Installer will craft custom wood products for residential and commercial projects, including doors, tables, stairs, cabinets, and furniture. The position involves both shop work and on-site installations, requiring meticulous attention to detail and collaboration within a team to meet project timelines and client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture high-craft wood products using fine woodworking skills.
- Use hand tools proficiently.
- Operate shop machinery and equipment as needed.
- Set up, run, and maintain woodworking equipment and machines.
- Sand wooden parts after cutting, shaping, and smoothing.
- Complete all phases of the woodworking production process.
- Apply color, stain, and treatments to raw wood.
- Finish furniture, cabinets, and other wood products.
- Identify and determine defects in wood.
- Perform on-site setups and woodworking installations.
- Comply with all safety protocols, policies, and code of conduct.
Requirements
- 2 or more years of experience in a woodworking shop or residential construction.
- Experience in Bench Carpentry, Cabinet Making, or Furniture Making.
- Background in Fine Arts or Industrial Design.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency with industrial woodworking tools.
- Installation experience with Doors/Cabs/Stairs is preferred.
- Background in Trades, Fine Arts, or Industrial Design.
