About the Role

London Borough of Lewisham is seeking 1 Employment Specialists to join our team delivering the DWP Connect To Work Programme. You will provide expert employment support for individuals with diverse needs, assisting them in securing or remaining in sustainable paid employment. This role involves delivering person-centred advice and guidance, building relationships with local employers, and managing a caseload of 20-25 participants.

Responsibilities

Provide expert employment support for individuals with diverse needs.
Assist participants in securing or remaining in sustainable paid employment.
Deliver the Support Employment Quality Framework (SEQF).
Provide person-centred advice and guidance to participants.
Build positive relationships with local employers.
Manage a caseload of 20-25 participants.
Work with participants from vocational profiling to the point where they no longer require face-to-face in-work support.

Requirements

Experience in Employment Support.
An eye for accuracy and ability to ensure quality and consistency of published digital content.
Keenness to get involved in content creation, including directing messaging, editorial and tone of voice.
Ability to liaise and support service-based content editors.
Great people skills.
Experience of supporting and working alongside a diverse range of people.
Must complete the application fully and cover how each person specification criterion is met in the supporting statement.
The job is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
