About the Role
The District Maintenance Manager (DMM) reports to the Regional Maintenance Manager (RMM) and is responsible for assisting the RMM in mentoring and training on-site service team members, ensuring compliance with company maintenance policies, developing scopes of work, managing vendor relations, and analyzing properties for capital needs, budgeting, and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Conducts annual maintenance inspections to company standards and reports findings to the RMM.
- Leads on-site maintenance staff in diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, swimming pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structure, and appliance issues.
- Schedules preventive and floating maintenance.
- Assists the RMM in scheduling and conducting training workshops and classes, tracking the process through the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Assists the Regional Property Manager (RPM) with the annual budget process by providing expertise on maintenance-related items.
- Evaluates suppliers and their services annually based on quality, customer service, and pricing.
- Assists in the interview process for Service team members at the site level.
- Supports the RMM with associate training and coaching.
- Performs other tasks as directed.
Requirements
- 2-3 years' experience as a District Regional Maintenance Manager (preferred for external candidates).
