About the Role

This is a hands-on opportunity to be part of the winemaking process from grape to finished wine. The Cellar Assistant will work closely with the cellar and winemaking teams, helping with day-to-day cellar operations including cleaning and sanitation, wine movements, equipment setup, harvest activities, and other tasks that keep the cellar running smoothly. This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical, hands-on work and wants to learn more about the craft of winemaking.

Responsibilities

Performs general cellar duties.
Assists the winemaking team in daily activities by completing detailed work orders.
Works on the bottling line in an operating and quality assurance capacity.
Performs winemaking tasks according to standard operating procedures with thoughtful attention to detail that enhances wine quality.
Follows work orders accurately.
Maintenance, cleaning, and sanitation of winery equipment, vessels, and the facility.

Requirements

Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time.
Willing to work alone or part of a team.
Required to work at heights and in small spaces.

Skills

Aptitude to operate all equipment associated with the production of wine.
