About the Role
The Model Management Support Officer plays a critical role in maintaining and supporting the development and deployment of application models within the organisation's systems. This includes supporting development teams with model builds, environment configuration, release management, scripting, and coordination of tools such as Guardien, CSE, and associated development environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to developers related to model management, including Guardien, CSE, Report Composer, XML Composer, and PC-related issues.
- Communicate and resolve model management queries from development teams.
- Perform ad-hoc migrations and component publishing operations.
- Manage system updates including migration of changes to the controlled model and code generation.
- Generate and build new software releases (e.g. RegStar).
- Perform check-ins to TTN system and upload constructed modules to JFrog.
- Prepare Bitbucket release files for deployment.
- Transfer and enrol letter templates to Paris test server.
- Conduct cross-release migrations, merges, and reworks.
- Prepare and configure Unix and Guardien environments.
- Validate and verify release documentation and briefs.
- Synchronise and maintain consistency across test environments.
- Maintain and enhance scripts to support development and model management activities.
- Prepare release files for production deployment.
- Create and modify database entities (tables) within CSE.
- Install and upgrade CSE server software, including Gen and Guardien.
- Export models and manage associated CSE model activities.
- Develop and maintain scripts utilised by Guardien.
- Liaise with third-party software vendors such as IET, Broadcom, and Canam Software for support and integration.
- Represent Model Management at project planning and release meetings.
- Troubleshoot server-related issues, both proactively and reactively.
- Test and validate new AVD (Application Virtual Desktop) configurations for Gen/Guardien environments.
- Design and build models for special projects as required.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Unix and general Unix system administration.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve compiler/linker errors.
- Proficient in the use of Guardien and CSE for model management.
- Demonstrated ability to support application developers in a technical environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-paced environment.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Participation in after-hours releases or on-call support may be required from time to time.
