About the Role

As a Strategic Consultant at iManage, you will be a legal technology thought leader within the global Business Innovation Team. Your primary focus will be on emerging technologies, driving program strategy, process, collateral development, and change to position iManage consultants as advisors of choice for legal solutions. You will leverage your broad, cross-disciplinary skills and legal professional experience to understand and drive success for end users.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an iManage ambassador and facilitator with internal leadership teams, customer management teams, and end-users
  • Act as an iManage ambassador and facilitator with iManage partners
  • Oversee and assist in the development, documentation, and scaling of best practices for iManage technology to drive adoption and meet industry objectives
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, Professional Services, Customer Success, Product, Marketing, and Sales functions, providing guidance on decisions affecting end users
  • Build scalable consulting frameworks, focusing on business and non-technical workstreams like business strategy, requirements gathering, change management, and information/data architectures
  • Plan consulting engagements to establish shared understanding of customer requirements, working practices, and business philosophy, focusing on 'what success looks like'
  • Communicate strategic advice to senior stakeholders, including in unfamiliar and complex situations
  • Act as a trusted advisor, conduct product demonstrations for business cases, and demonstrate best practices to clients
  • Deliver knowledge transfer sessions, support User Acceptance Testing with full coverage test cases, and create client deliverables
  • Become a leading subject matter expert in iManage technologies and the wider legal technology landscape
  • Mentor and develop skills in junior consultants
  • Provide feedback on product usage and features to Engineering and Product teams to influence the Product roadmap
  • Empower teams within iManage to develop a rich understanding of lawyer needs, mindsets, and practices

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working as a lawyer or 5+ years of professional experience in a legal environment
  • Understanding of the legal technology landscape and market
  • Ability to build trust with demanding organizations such as law firms
  • Ability to think strategically, enjoy multi-tasking, be innovative, and drive action
  • Excellent business analysis skills, including leading design sessions, understanding business and product usability, influencing outcomes, and prioritizing user/functional requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and diagnose articulated and unarticulated user needs
  • Experience in design methodologies (e.g., persona identification, user research, process mapping)
  • Prior experience conducting discovery, design, and implementation of legal-specific solutions
  • Excellent client-facing skills, including workshop planning, delivery, and documentation
